Introductory Workshop in Herbal Medicine

Thursday 24th September 10.30am – 1.30pm

  • Learn about Traditional medicine and its modern day use.
  • Pick up some tips on how to identify medical plants.
  • Make your own medicine in a beautiful, calm, caring setting.

Meet at 10.30am at the Lewes Priory Herb Garden* entrance, to the right of the Lewes Football Ground car park on Mountfield Rd, Lewes BN7 2XA

From there we will walk through the Lewes Priory Herb Garden where we will identify and gather plants and return to the Unity Spa where we will make medicine and taste teas.

Small group of 6 so book early to avoid disappointment.

Bring walking boots/wellies if weather wet and a note pad and pen to take notes and record memories.

*Meeting place is weather dependant: we will e-mail (or text if preferred) prior to the event to confirm if we are meeting at the Priory Herb Garden or The Unity Spa.

Julia Behrens is a qualifed practitioner in Herbal Medicine with an honours degree from the College of Phyto-therapy. Julia has taught at the School of Herbal Medicine, lectured at East London and Westminster University, consulted for the WWF and Neal’s Yard, appeared on TV and runs a range of courses in Herbal Medicine. Julia works alongside GP’s and is currently practicing at the Herstmonceux Health Centre and at the Albion Clinic in Brighton.
